Organizational Alignment
Employee Engagement
Employee engagement is the strongest measurement of leadership.
Employee engagement is the measure of how connected employees are to the purpose, values and goals of the organization. It is a function of the relationship between employees and their leaders at multiple levels, and the authenticity of those relationships. An engaged employee is one who is aligned with the vison and purpose of the organization, and takes positive and proactive actions to further the organization’s goals. Employee engagement can only be high if employees feel connected and trust the leaders of the organization. Conversely, it is a measure of how effectively or ineffectively an organization’s leaders are performing. Our work focuses on improving performance and leadership at all levels of the organization, which results in high employee engagement.
Enterprise-wide Initiatives
Change is inevitable, transformation is optional.
One thing that defines innovative companies is their commitment to continuous improvement and looking for new paradigms to change the game in their business and cause transformational business results. Typically, change initiatives involve some sort of IT implementation, a reorganization, mergers/acquisitions, new product launches, HR rollouts, etc. Most leaders focus on executing the plan and all the essential elements of change management in a transactional manner, more than building relationships and partners. Our work focuses on delivering the milestones, while also coaching the leader and team on creating a shared vision, purpose and outcome. We call this “creating strategic partners” and it ensures not only the successful implementation of a change initiative, but causes long-term alignment within the organization.
Creating a Culture of High Performance
High Performing Boards
High performing boards…alignment between the board and senior management.
One of the biggest challenges in creating a high-performing board is first recognizing that you’re leading a group of accomplished leaders, who have probably been the heads of organizations, themselves, and are used to being in charge, the top authority with a set culture.
We partner with board chairs to understand the value of each of the board members and their unique contributions, identify desired outcomes, while understanding the challenges of appreciating different points of view and creating alignment.
Key tenets we practice when coaching board members include:
- Clarifying the board’s vision and strategy
- Respecting each member’s unique perspective, bringing out the best of each of these
- Working inside the bylaws
- Partnering with and supporting the executive team to deliver on their strategic objectives
Our commitment is to create a high-performing team of board of directors. Bringing out the best thinking and problem solving to support the purpose, mission, and highest good of the organization.
We offer boards help with strategy development, board leadership and alignment, as well as retreat facilitation.
